Terms of use

By using this site you accept these terms. They are short because the service is simple: we publish a directory compiled from public data, free of charge, with no account and no transaction.

The service

US DentalCompass is a free, informational directory of US dental clinics and dentists. We do not deliver dental care, arrange treatment, book appointments, verify credentials, or act as an agent for any clinic or patient.

Acceptable use

You may use this site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You must not:

  • Scrape, crawl or bulk-download the site. If you want the data, ask us — most of it is public-domain and we would rather hand you a file.
  • Use contact details from this site to send unsolicited commercial messages to clinics or dentists.
  • Present the data in a way that misrepresents its meaning — in particular, rendering organisation-level figures as though they described one clinic, or presenting Medicaid reimbursement rates as patient prices.

Attribution

Our compilation — the record linkage, the derived classifications, our plain-language procedure labels, and the site's design and text — is our own work. Some underlying material carries attribution requirements we are obliged to pass on:

  • CDT codes are factual identifiers. Their official descriptions are Current Dental Terminology, © American Dental Association. We do not reproduce ADA descriptions, and neither may you on the basis of anything found here.
  • Address points © OpenStreetMap contributors and the Overture Maps Foundation.
  • Postcode centroids from GeoNames, CC BY 4.0.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for CMS, HRSA, the American Dental Association, any state Medicaid agency, or any clinic listed.

No warranty and liability

We update the directory regularly, but the material it is built from is itself published in batches, and a clinic can change between one update and the next. We make no warranty that any listing is accurate, current, or complete. The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of this site.
